My Art , being of the modernist constructivism style has always enhanced my poetic stance. This fusion or conceptualised bond is in adherence to the spiritualism evoked by the fibre of life. The threads of this fibre are akin to the collective consciense of the participants.
Modernest theories expound the essentiality ``of the role of the spectators` feelings and sense of discovery in their attentive responses ``. RAIN `s art, attracts & achieves that desired function.

Having graduated after studies in Ireland and England I began to discover the diversities of culture. My view of perception lost it`s linearity. Thus ! I became pre-occupied with the importance of multi-culturalism, in all its aspects. This Fusion of Cultures through gender equality, creates an inner response. This opportunity envigourates artistic feelings, creating new ideas and artistic challenges. Indeed! That was how ART RAIN was conceived.

ART RAIN realises that ``art critique ``is impoverished by its own ambiquity. The `art cognoscenti` hypothesize within the constraints of their own, intellectual environs. Nationalistic encumbrances inhibit cultural /artistic integration. Critical analysis has almost become improvident . Thus ! The birth of ART RAIN,ensued.

Openess and Transparency : The imposts rendered by societal dictate- Media, Curators, Art Dealers etc.continue to impede the transitions neccessary for the development of Art / Artists. These interpositions should be the introspective criteria of artists such that they may realise their own realism and transcend into the realm of universal equality & justice.

Human Rights: Distant shadows on future horizons

Gender equality in developing countries, is a far cry from reality. Justice & dignity are distant shadows on future horizons. From birth , little girls suffer discrimination. The reality factor is : her place is in the home , not in the world of men . Henceforth ! Her identity is shaped & patterned . Her access to education is restricted by family & society. Her identity is thus established as a 2nd. class person. Often ! In societies where poverty is rampant , she is regarded as an economic burden - infantcide is a common occurence. Moreover ! Her growth to adulthood is a constant ritual of victimisation and discrimination. To obliviate this discrimination , financial & educational resources must be made available . These entitlements of fundamental rights for all , are enshrined in the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.

Human Rights : Dignity and Justice for All

Human rights are based on the idea that human beings are all equal and deserve fair and equal treatment. Ideas about equality first arose in some early religious teachings, but were developed in the eighteenth century in the documents of the American Declaration of Independence (1776) and the French revolution ( 1789). Finally in the 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations, the body representing most of the world’s countries. The issue of gender equality stated as a theme for the UN exhibition has been a concern in the Registered Artists` International Network ( ART RAIN ). We do believe that artists have a say and should commit themselves to that cause side by side with governments in order to pass and enforce laws that ensure women´s legal rights and change the traditional beliefs and attitudes that permit abusive behaviours. Here we are today, men and women, showing the world our artistic work and inspiration and talking to people in a colourful significant language, the language of the brush.
